We develop frits, glazes and engobes to order for each customer’s process and product. Every formulation goes through Esmaltec’s own laboratory before it reaches production.
The work starts from what the customer wants to achieve on the tile, such as finish, color or behavior in the kiln, and from the conditions at their plant, such as the body, the application technique and the firing cycle. From there, the formulation is built and adjusted until it reaches the result, before any trial on the line.
Because it makes its own frits and compounds, Esmaltec controls the main raw materials of what it develops. What is approved in the laboratory is manufactured with the same composition, batch after batch.
